OUR MISSION

IKQRAAR (IISER Kolkata Queer Resolution and Allies of the Rainbow) is established as the official queer collective of IISER Kolkata, with the purpose of fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive community for individuals of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and gender expressions. It operates in accordance with the UGC's Advisory on Gender Champions (2023) and the rights enshrined in the Indian Constitution, specifically Article 14 (Right to Equality), Article 15 (Prohibition of Discrimination), Article 19 (Freedom of Expression and Association), and Article 21 (Right to Life and Personal Liberty). Our mission aligns with UGC’s national call for gender sensitization and the full inclusion of transgender and gender-diverse persons in academic spaces.
